Introducing Inbox Monitors (beta)

We've sent more than forty thousand test emails through SendTestMail. Along the way, one pattern kept showing up: people didn't just want to know if an inbox worked today, they wanted to know if it was still working next week.

That's what Inbox Monitors are for.

How it works

An Inbox Monitor sends a test email to an address you verify, on a schedule. If a check fails, we email you right away. When delivery recovers, we let you know that too.

Each monitor sends from its own unique sender ID. That means you can filter or rule it away in your inbox and never see it land - the check still runs and still reports back, it just does so quietly in the background instead of cluttering your inbox every week.

No dashboard-watching required. You find out about a broken mail server or a bad DNS change the same day it happens, not weeks later when a customer mentions they never got an email.

Who this is for

Anyone who operates a public-facing inbox and can't afford to find out it's broken from a customer. A few common cases:

Beta limits

Inbox Monitors are in beta. Right now that means one monitored email address, checked once a week. We'll loosen this up as paid tiers roll out.

Getting started

You'll need a free account - manual test emails still work without signing in, but monitors need somewhere to send your alerts. Sign-in is passwordless: enter your email, we send you a link, no password to set. Google sign-in works too.

From there, head to the dashboard and set up your first monitor.
